Terms of use

PrintMesh connects people who want something 3D printed with people in Bengaluru who own printers. These terms describe how that works and what each side is agreeing to.

What PrintMesh is

We are a marketplace and the platform of record for the transaction. We match a job to printers, hold the payment while the work is done, and release it afterwards. We do not print anything ourselves and we do not employ the printers.

What a printer agrees to

  • Accepting a job is binding. The price is your own listed rates applied to that job.
  • Do not start printing until the payment shows as secured — before that you are not covered.
  • Print what was ordered: the material, colour, scale and quantity on the job.
  • Keep a UPI id on file. Without one we cannot pay you, so accepting is blocked.
  • Model files belong to the customer. Print the job, then delete them. Do not reuse, resell or republish a customer's model.

What a customer agrees to

  • You have the right to print what you upload. Do not upload models you do not own or have a licence to.
  • Pay within 15 minutes of a printer accepting, or the job goes back out to others.
  • Confirm receipt when the part arrives, or raise a dispute. If you do neither, payment releases automatically after 72 hours.

What must not be printed

Weapons and weapon components, anything designed to defeat a lock or security device, counterfeit goods or trademarked parts you have no right to reproduce, and anything unlawful under Indian law. Printers may refuse any job, and we will remove jobs of this kind.

Money

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card details. Your payment is held by PrintMesh — not sent to the printer — until you confirm the part arrived or 72 hours pass after handover. PrintMesh charges a platform fee, included in the price shown before you pay. Refunds and cancellations are covered in the refunds policy.

Talking to each other

Messages sent on PrintMesh are the record of what was agreed, and are what a dispute is decided on. Phone numbers are hidden automatically in messages — partly to keep the record intact, partly so neither side has to hand out their number to a stranger.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee a printer will accept any given job, and we do not guarantee print quality — that is between you and the printer, which is why escrow and disputes exist. Estimated weights, times and prices shown before a quote are calculated from the model and are approximations; a printer's slicer is the authority.

Accounts

One account per person. We may suspend an account for repeated disputes decided against it, uploading models the uploader has no right to, or attempting to take a job off the platform to avoid the fee or the escrow.

Changes

We will update these terms as the product changes. Anything already in progress is governed by the terms in force when the job was posted.
