What is peer-to-peer 3D printing?
Instead of one central print farm, your model goes to a verified printer in Bengaluru — whoever is nearby, has the right material loaded and can take it on. You get shorter distances and better prices; they get their machine earning between their own projects. Every one of them was checked by a person before their account could accept a job.
How much does 3D printing cost?
It depends on how much plastic the part uses and how long the machine runs, not on how complicated it looks. Upload your model and PrintMesh measures it and shows an estimate before you commit to anything. Scaling down is usually the cheapest lever — printing at 75% costs about 42% of the material.
Which file formats can I upload?
STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, IGES, or a ZIP of them. STL and OBJ get a 3D preview in the browser with measured volume and dimensions; the rest are passed to the printer to open in their slicer.
Which materials can I get printed?
PLA for indoor parts and prototypes, PETG for anything tougher or outdoors, ABS for heat resistance, TPU for flexible parts, and resin for fine detail. Availability depends on what nearby printers actually have loaded, which is checked before your job is offered to anyone.
How do I know the printer is any good?
Every printer is verified by a person before it appears — the machine, the materials and past work. After that, ratings and completion rate decide who gets offered a job first.
What if the print comes out wrong?
Your payment is held by PrintMesh, not passed to the printer, until you confirm the part arrived. If something is wrong you raise a dispute from the order page and the money stays frozen until a person has looked at it. It can be refunded in full, released, or split.
How long does a 3D print take?
Most jobs are a day or two: machine time plus a day for handover. You see an estimated ready-by date before you post, calculated from the actual size of your model rather than a guess.
Can I get 3D printing done near me in Bengaluru?
Yes — that is the point. Jobs are offered to verified printers ranked by how close they are to you, so pickup is usually a short trip. Delivery is available if you would rather not travel.
I own a 3D printer. Can I earn from it?
